Collecting winter data with the first-of-its-kind alpine solar pilot plant
We measure the live yields with the first-of-its-kind alpine solar pilot plant for the first time in Swiss energy history to prove the economic viability of the winter power concept.

These are the best prerequisites for an accurate analysis that all project planners in Switzerland urgently need to prove the economic viability of the winter power concept and to analyze how the effects of snow reflections affect the bifacial modules.
First snow of the year
In August, the pilot plant of SolSarine was commissioned on the Hornberg in Saanenmöser with over 70 guests from politics, administration, conservation organizations, tourism and the population. It is the first high alpine pilot plant in the canton of Bern.
The simulation was successful, now the pilot plant provides valuable data for the planned solar panel project SolSarine and brings alpine solar technology closer to the population. We will also be working closely with the industry association Swissolar to make data available to all project developers in Switzerland, as this is the only prototype of its kind in the world!
